The Coffee House Apartments in Castara offers affordable accommodations on the island of Tobago within a three minute walk of Castara beach. Recently constructed, these two self-contained self-catering studio apartments are located in lush gardens on the southern edge of Castara village.

These comfortable apartments are owned and managed by Cheno, who also runs Castara's popular Coffee House café, which is well known for its terrific breakfasts and friendly service. Cheno is well known to tourist visitors as someone who is friendly and helpful to anyone staying with him, or eating in his café.

The two studio apartments are quietly located in gardens that overlook Castara village green and to the rainforest beyond. Constructed in 2012 they offer good value and nicely finished accommodation. Castara beach is short walk along a well-trodden footpath alongside the bank of the stream that flows out of the rainforest to the bay.

Castara is a simple fishing community of some 500 people. It recently featured in the Telegraph Magazine as an excellent destination for people seeking eco holidays with excursions into nature on land and sea. The riverside footpath also runs past the Coffee House apartments inland and into the rainforest that starts only a hundred yards or so from the village. A ten minute walk will bring you to the wonderfully romantic waterfall where locals and tourists can swim and enjoy the cool breezes of the rainforest.

Castara is lucky to have two beaches that are generally recognised as one of the prettiest beach locations in Tobago with very good snorkelling over the coral reef at Little Beach, and lots of space to relax either in sun or shade, on both the large and small beaches.

If you are booking for good quality budget accommodation with friendly hosts and a quiet location then Cheno's apartments may be just the place.
